Its been awhile since my last update.

Our trip to Thailand was simply "AMAZING". It is such a colorful and beautiful country, the native people are so friendly, no wonder why they call it the Land of Smiles. If one has the opportunity to see and explorer Thailand, by all means take it. You will not regret it. There was never a dull moment during our 2 weeks stay. Thanks in part to our close friend Leonard and his wonderful husband Nigel (Thailand Native) they showed us Thailand how the locals see it. I especially love there night markets and the weekend market (Chatuchak Weekend Market) suppose to be the largest market in the world. John of course had to purchase his Thai inspired aquarium. I love ebay, I think its one of the greatest site on the net. Anyways I was able to get a white iphone 3g for only $799.00, not bad huh.. :D.. However John thinks im just wasting $$$$, cause I already have a black 3G 16BG. So i guess thats going to him.. Thats normally how it works, he gets all the hand-me-downs.. From ipods, ipod-touches, cameras, cell phones and now a brand new black 3G 16GB iPhone. He does however have a Nokia N series (i think its a N81 8GB). So i guess now he has 2 phones..

I finally got my iphone 3G 16GB black. Its true what they say its twice as fast, but not twice as cheap. I had to fork out over $1000 USD for my new iphone, unlock of course. But worth every penny. John didnt want my old iphone so i sold it for about $400, which goes straight to our travel fund account.

Its that time again, John and Me will be flying to manila next week 08/13/2008 for my Belo's appointment (Belo Medical Clinic). We decided to take a different route from our usual Continental Guam to Manila, we opt NWA Japan to Manila. We were in Japan about a year ago and just fell in love with all things japanese. So were more excited of our stopover in Japan then our manila destination. Dont get me wrong I love manila, but having been there 6 plus times in the past 4 months can be a bit mundane. Anyhow I cant wait for this month to pass cause jon and me are heading to Bangkok, Thailand for a real vacation. More on that later.

I was never a fan of "Batman", ive always thought that he was a very lame super hero. A super hero with no magic powers "AS IF" and I never got the voice thing. So after seeing this movie (by force) that solidified my decision. AVOID THIS MOVIE.. it is most certainly a rental. The movie just dragged and dragged. Im sure a lot of you will disagree with me, but its my fucken blog I can say whats ever i want.

Well John and I are back form our short trip to manila. We were there for my appointment at Belo Clinic TriNoma. The trip started out great seating in Business/First Class is always a plus in my book. The service was excellent they used real wine glasses, not like those plastic one in economy. So im reminded why haven't we traveled like this before. Its not like John and I cant afford it, so we decided from this day on, will be traveling First/Business Class on all our future trips.

While in manila we stayed at the Holiday Inn Galleria, Ortigas Center. We got a suite room with a view. The first day we arrive it was kinda late so most of the mall where already closing, so we ending up ordering room service. The following day we went shopping, shopping, and more shopping. Then met up with our close friend, took her out to lunch, dinner and more shopping.

The following day was my appointment at Belo Medical Tri Noma. My doctor's office is in Rustan Makati, which is where i would normally be seen. But she had to relieve some doctor which is why my appointment was at the TriNoma Clinic. I was on the Obagi Nu-Derm system (PHP 22000) for about 6 weeks now and I have to say thank you Dr. Obaji and of course Dr. Lopez.

Dr. Lopez was happy to see that my face/skin is responding well to the treatments. So after 2 hours of cleaning, hair laser removal, and microdermabrasion i was exhausted, mostly on my face. Never felt so much pain before my nose was so red it looked like all the blood rushed and stayed there, well that’s what my bf said anyways. After that ordeal I decided to treat myself and couldn’t think of nothing better then my favorite store, SPRINGFIELD (http://www.spf.com/). I went crazy shopping in Springfield, my total bill was over php13000. But then again that’s normally how much I spend every time I shop at Springfield. One of my purchases was a lightweight biker jackets. One I’ve been waiting for quite some time. After shopping we headed to Ruby Tuesday for a late lunch, it was our 1^st time to eat there, and let me be the one to tell you all. KEEP GONING. Although the service was great the food needed some major WORK. It was NASTY. It was getting late so John and wanted to head back to the hotel for some rest and prepare for our trip home.

So for dinner we went to The Podium to grap food, we ended up this small Japanese restaurant, I think it was called Yaku Restaurant. The food was great there most especially the “crazy maki roll”. So after dinner we headed back to the hotel, so some needed rest.

After church John and me would typically have breakfast at a fancy restaurant, but then again John and me are always eating out, we eat out about 5-6 time a week. I can't remember the last time we eat at home. Anyways Im getting off the subject. So today we wanted seafood and ended up at Hafa Adai Beach Hotel Dolphin restaurant. The Dolphin restaurant is located on the 10th floor, and let me tell you the view is to die for. The food is great too. So after breakfast we decided to treat ourselves, and headed to DFS. I got myself a GUCCI money clip, John a TUMI wallet, and a TUMI international power outlet adapter (excellent when we visit Europe and Asia in the coming months).

John found out about this place from a close friend. I was surprise that we never heard of it before. John and I are pretty well informed about restaurant through out the island. Its a very private restaurant, caters only to tourist and the occasional island resident. So i have to say it was a pleasure having dinner there. There menu selection is very limited, but makes up in taste and location. Waft by the Sea is definitely going down as one of my favorite beach restaurant.

As you can tell, this is probably my 4th post of the day, (and its not even lunch yet) i was felling sick this morning so i didn't go work. Now im all alone at home and nothing to do, well actually john ask me to check his laptop its been acting strange. But i dont feel like checking it out now, so hence the posting. Anyways i never realized that we had so many Havaianas slippers. They are awesome slippers. One of the best i think. You can wear them jeans and shorts, excellent for we beach goers. We were introduce to havaianas about 3 years ago, and just fell in love with them. We bought most of it at Glorieta Mall, and some online. We have so much that we dont even use most of it. Notice the tags are still on. Question for ya how many havaianas does one person need?

Back on schedule, my dream house was on hold for couple months. Permits after permits, fees after fees, blue print changes after blue print changes, i can now say that we can begin the first phase of construction. The retaining wall is now coming up and should finish in a few weeks. While thats finishing my final blue print should be approved and stamp. I love the design of our (jon and me) house. Its about 3,2oo square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, one home office, walk in pantry and one huge walk-in closet, ever gay man need a walk in closet. This house is excellent of entertaining family and guest. It has an open layout very modern, with huge windows and doors to let natural light in, lots of glass and concrete and the mountain view is big plus. I'll be up loading more pix as the constructions develops.

When John and I are in the Philippines we eat at many different restaurants ranging from your hole in the wall establishment to 5 star fine dinning. Here are our 2 favorite restaurants . Both located in Makati, Makati Ave.

1. Sala Restaurant (http://www.salarestaurant.com/) - Use to be located at Malate. First place I ever tried kangaroo meat, and i have to say it was pretty darn good.

2.) Wasabi Bistro and Sake Bar, Corner of Makati Avc. and St. Tomas (I think) - Right Next to the Manila Peninsula.

1. COATS OVER T-SHIRT AND JEANS, wearing a sport coat with your ratty t-shirt and jeans wont up your style quotients it will look like the maitre d' stopped you on the way in and gave you a coat to maintain the restaurant dress code.

2. OVERLY DISTRESSED JEANS, your denim shouldn't appear more overworked then you. Your over sanded, stonewashed, bleach-splattered jeans are just plain tired. Give it a rest.

3. DEEP V-NECK T-SHIRTS, if we wanted to see cleavage, we'd ask our fag hags to wear a skimpy top.

4. POPPED COLLARS, even Christian Slater couldn't make the "preppy cool" style work, and that was back in the 80's so what makes you think you can do better? It screams "douche bag" louder then "country club chic".

5. PLEATED PANTS, are your hips large enough to squeeze out a litter - cause your pants sure make it look that way. Opt for flat front trousers instead.

Needed Vacation

A lot has happen since my last post. Let me try and sum it all up. John (my baby) was in Hawaii for about 2 weeks. (Work related stuff, BORING). After he returned we flew to the Philippines for a badly need RR and shopping, lots of shopping. We were there for about 3 weeks. During my stay I was able to visit the belo medical clinic, my face was in need for some desperate attention. Dr. Lopez from the clinic put me on the Obagi Nu-Derm system and i have to say WOW.. I love it.. My follow-up appointment is in 3 weeks. (June 28). John and i will be there for the weekend. I'll be sure to post some before and after pix.

Dental Care

Today I have a dental appointment with the best doctor on island, my #30 tooth has been bothering me since my last check up. I think i might need a root canal.. Waaaaaa.. thats gonna hurt. I hope my insurance covers this type of dental service.. Oh well you soon find out sooner or later. I'll let you'll know what the doctor says.
